Opis izdelka

A cookbook that brings traditional Slovenian dishes and stories to your kitchens worldwide! Now's your chance to cook Slovenian food at home and discover Slovenian culture through food. Cook Eat Slovenia is more than just a cookbook. It presents the culinary tradition of a nation and the legacy of my family. This book will be packed with treasured recipes that have been in my family for generations.

Inside, you’ll find more than 100 recipes and tips for cooking traditional Slovenian food, and much more. Cook Eat Slovenia, the cookbook, is divided into recipes based on the four seasons. Each recipe tells a story and illuminates our cooking philosophy, our fresh and local ingredients and the family stories behind the dishes. Slovenian food is easy to like—love at first bite! Now’s your chance to cook it at home.

"Food has always played an important role in my family and I’m continuing that legacy. I learned how to cook the old-fashioned way, by watching my mom and grandma in the kitchen and helping my dad and granddad to prepare, cure, grill and roast meats. They passed on to me the passion and enthusiasm for food and Slovenian cuisine. My story started four years ago, when I launched Cook Eat Slovenia.

My dream was to present traditional Slovenian food to travelers through my cooking classes in Ljubljana, serving them up an experience they would treasure for a lifetime. They cook with me, a local girl who teaches them how to prepare food we eat at home, for everyday or festive occasions. Over the years, I’ve hosted hundreds of happy foodies from around the world who have attended my cooking classes.

Most of the recipes have never been written down, just kept in the head, till now. I want to bring back the romance of old traditions with some almost-forgotten recipes and most recognized Slovenian dishes. Amazing, diverse and simple traditional Slovenian recipes that I know you’ll love."

Tistih že skoraj pozabljenih in najbolj prepoznavnih slovenskih jedi. Razdeljeni so na letne čase, s poudarkom na svežih, sezonskih in lokalnih sestavinah. Vsak recept spremlja zgodba iz mojega otroštva, ki razkriva bogato kulturno tradicijo našega naroda in prehranjevalne navade.

Sedaj bodo lahko vsi ljubitelji kulinarike po svetu preko tradicionalnih slovenskih receptov kuhali in jedli naše jedi in s tem preko hrane spoznavali bogato dediščino Slovenije."
