It is not fair of the author, who I presume was also young once, to frighten young people with warnings on how the ground beneath our feet is getting increasingly thinner. How would he have felt if his teacher at shool had imposed »ecological thrillers« in him rather fairy tales, disrupting his sleep by dropping hints that the lifestyle we as parents are leaving to our descendants is not the best?
Children should be protected against cruel reality at least up to the age od twenty-five. Afterwards, they can maketheir own decisions about how to correct the mistakes of their parents.
